Tatted Tacticals ships nationwide from our FFL07/SOT3 facility. Shipping rules vary by product category because ammunition, firearms, and accessories are governed by different carrier and legal requirements. This page covers the policies that apply to every order.
Carriers
We ship via UPS Ground, USPS Priority, and FedEx Ground depending on the product category and destination:
- Accessories, optics, triggers, holsters, EDC: UPS Ground or USPS Priority, whichever is faster to the destination ZIP.
- Ammunition: UPS Ground only (HazMat / Class 1.4S restriction prevents air shipment). See the ammunition shipping rules for jurisdictional restrictions.
- Firearms: UPS Ground to the receiving FFL, or USPS for long guns where the receiving FFL accepts USPS shipments. Adult signature required at delivery.
HazMat Fee
Orders containing ammunition are subject to a flat HazMat handling fee (currently $12.50 per package) applied at checkout. The fee is set by the carrier and reflects the additional handling required for hazardous-material ground shipments. A single order may qualify for a single HazMat fee even if multiple ammunition boxes ship together, depending on package weight limits.

FFL Transfer Shipping (Firearms Only)
Complete firearms cannot ship directly to the buyer’s home address. Every firearm ships to a licensed Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) of the buyer’s choice:
- Select the receiving FFL at checkout (or email the FFL license copy after ordering).
- We verify the FFL’s license on file with the ATF before shipping.
- The firearm ships to the FFL’s business address with a tracking number sent to the buyer.
- The buyer visits the FFL in person, completes ATF Form 4473, passes a NICS background check, and takes possession of the firearm.
FFL transfer fees (charged by the receiving FFL, not by Tatted Tacticals) are typically $25 to $75 depending on the dealer. That fee is paid directly to the receiving FFL at pickup and is separate from our shipping charges.
Processing Timeline
- Accessories and in-stock ammunition: typically ship the next business day after the order is placed.
- Firearms: ship within 3 business days of receiving and verifying the receiving FFL’s license.
- Backordered items: processing time depends on supplier restock; the product page lists the current estimated lead time.
Order processing does not run on weekends or federal holidays. Transit time is additional and depends on the carrier and destination ZIP.
Shipping Insurance
All orders over $500 are insured by default at no additional cost to the buyer. For lower-value orders, shipping insurance can be added at checkout. Insurance covers loss, theft, and carrier damage in transit — it does not cover refused FFL transfers or buyer-requested address changes mid-shipment.
Damaged or Missing Shipments
If a package arrives damaged, photograph the box and contents before unpacking further and contact us within 48 hours. If tracking shows delivery but the package was not received, contact the carrier first (UPS, USPS, or FedEx as applicable), then notify us with the case number. International Shipping
Tatted Tacticals ships to the 50 United States and, for select accessories only, to U.S. territories. We do not ship internationally at this time. Export of firearms and ammunition is restricted under federal law and ITAR.
