The Winchester Super X WinClean 357 Magnum 125gr Jacketed Flat Nose delivers a measurably cleaner indoor range experience by eliminating lead vaporization at the bullet’s base — the primary source of airborne lead exposure at the firing line. A 357 Magnum cartridge is a rimmed, straight-walled revolver round introduced in 1935, chambered in revolvers and lever-action carbines, delivering flat-shooting performance at handgun velocities. This load pushes a 125-grain jacketed flat nose bullet to 1370 feet per second, generating 521 foot-pounds of muzzle energy — numbers that place it in the moderate-recoil, high-velocity category for range work and target practice.
Built for the Box
Winchester engineers the WinClean system around two components: a patented lead-free primer and a brass-enclosed base bullet. The primer eliminates heavy metal residue at ignition; the brass cup seals the bullet base, preventing lead gas escape during firing. You get less barrel fouling, less airborne contamination, and brass cases that run cleaner through tumblers. Boxer-primed brass cases reload without issue — non-corrosive primers and standard flash holes maintain case life across multiple loadings.

This load runs across 357 Magnum ammo platforms — K-frame and L-frame revolvers, Ruger GP100s, lever carbines chambered for the round. Expect noticeably less smoke during strings and cleaner forcing cones after 200-round range sessions compared to standard lead-primer loads.
Safe Handling & Compliance
Federal law requires purchasers to be at least 18 years old for rifle and shotgun ammunition, and at least 21 for handgun ammunition. Ammunition cannot be shipped to certain states, counties, and cities — review our ammunition shipping restrictions before ordering. Store ammunition in a cool, dry location away from heat sources and out of reach of unauthorized users.
- Follow the four rules of firearm safety at all times — treat every gun as loaded, keep finger off trigger until ready to fire, never point at anything you’re not willing to destroy, know your target and what lies beyond it.
- Verify compliance with state and local ammunition laws before ordering — some jurisdictions restrict online ammunition sales or impose magazine capacity limits that may affect bulk purchases.
- This product contains lead and can expose you to chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm — see Prop 65 warnings for more information. Wash hands after handling ammunition and before eating or smoking.
