Winchester Copper Impact 30-06 Springfield ammunition delivers monolithic solid copper projectiles where lead-core bullets aren’t permitted — and performs on medium to large game regardless of jurisdiction. The 150-grain Extreme Point hollow-point bullet uses a polymer tip to initiate expansion immediately upon contact, creating a large wound channel while retaining near-100% of its weight through hide, muscle, and bone. This is a Winchester hunting load engineered for pronghorn through elk in states with lead-free mandates, chambered in one of North America’s most versatile big-game cartridges.
Built for the Box
Each 150-grain bullet is machined from solid copper with a boat-tail base and extended ogive — yielding a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.387, higher than most cup-and-core 150-grain .30-caliber projectiles. Muzzle velocity from a 24-inch barrel averages 2920 feet per second, delivering 2839 foot-pounds of energy at the muzzle. The polymer tip drives hydraulic expansion through the hollow-point cavity, peeling petals back while the copper shank penetrates deep. Cases are nickel-plated brass with Boxer primers — non-corrosive and reloadable.

Copper Impact ammunition meets non-toxic regulations in California condor zones, Arizona’s Kaibab Plateau, and other jurisdictions requiring lead-free projectiles. The monolithic copper construction eliminates bullet fragmentation, making it legal for hunting across all 30-06 ammo platforms where lead-core bullets are prohibited.
