When you burn through 30 Carbine by the case lot, you want ammunition that feeds every time and shoots to point of aim. This Magtech 110-grain jacketed soft point delivers 1990 fps from a 20-inch test barrel — the standard velocity for M1 Carbine ball loads — and 968 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. The jacketed soft point expands reliably on soft targets, making it suitable for short-range varmint hunting and plinking, while the brass case and boxer primer let you reload the spent hulls. Non-corrosive powder means your bore stays clean between range trips.
Built for the Box
Magtech manufactures components in-house at one of the largest small-arms ammunition facilities in the world. Every primer, case, powder charge, and bullet passes through quality-control gates before assembly. The 110-grain JSP uses a lead core under a copper jacket, swaged to .308-inch diameter for consistent chambering in M1 Carbine chambers. Brass cases are drawn from virgin alloy, then annealed and trimmed to SAAMI minimum length. Boxer primers ignite ball powder charges that produce 1990 fps — the same velocity you’d see from surplus ball ammo, but without corrosive salts.

The ballistic coefficient of 0.168 and sectional density of 0.166 are typical for 110-grain .30-caliber projectiles — you’ll see 100-yard drops around 2.5 inches with a 50-yard zero. For carbine shooters who reload, the brass cases are annealed and sized to take multiple firings without work-hardening. Safe Handling & Compliance
Federal law requires purchasers to be at least 18 years old for rifle and shotgun ammunition, and at least 21 for handgun ammunition. Ammunition cannot be shipped to certain states, counties, and cities — review our ammunition shipping restrictions before ordering. Store ammunition in a cool, dry location away from heat sources and out of reach of unauthorized users.
- Observe the four rules of firearms safety — treat every firearm as if it’s loaded, never point at anything you’re not willing to destroy, keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire, and know your target and what’s beyond it.
- Verify current federal, state, and local laws before purchasing ammunition. Some jurisdictions restrict ammunition purchases or impose waiting periods.
- This ammunition contains lead. Wash your hands after handling and avoid eating or drinking at the shooting bench. California residents: see Proposition 65 warning at point of sale.
