Federal American Eagle 308 Winchester 150 grain FMJ brings target-grade performance to high-volume training. Chambered in 308 Win and loaded to the same velocity and pressure standards as Federal Premium lines, this range ammunition delivers 2820 fps muzzle velocity and 2648 ft-lbs of energy in a 20-round box. The full metal jacket bullet design minimizes barrel fouling and feeds reliably across AR-10, bolt-action, and semi-auto platforms. Brass cases carry Boxer primers for straightforward reloading, and the non-corrosive propellant protects your bore between cleanings. Federal manufactures American Eagle in the United States, maintaining consistent lot-to-lot performance for shooters who track velocity spreads and group sizes at distance.
Performance at a Glance
The 150 grain projectile sits in the middle of the 308 Win spectrum — lighter than 168-175 grain match loads but heavier than reduced-recoil 125-130 grain plinking rounds. At 2820 fps, this load generates moderate chamber pressure and delivers flat trajectory to 300 yards. The FMJ construction eliminates lead exposure on indoor ranges where ventilation is controlled, and the boat-tail base stabilizes flight downrange. Brass cases resize cleanly and hold primers through multiple loading cycles, making this a practical choice for reloaders who process bulk range brass. Federal American Eagle is designed for target shooting, training drills, and high-round-count practice sessions where cost per round matters as much as reliability.

Safe Handling & Compliance
Federal law requires purchasers to be at least 18 years old for rifle and shotgun ammunition, and at least 21 for handgun ammunition. Ammunition cannot be shipped to certain states, counties, and cities — review our ammunition shipping restrictions before ordering. Store ammunition in a cool, dry location away from heat sources and out of reach of unauthorized users.
- Observe the four rules of firearm safety at all times — treat every firearm as loaded, never point at anything you are not willing to destroy, keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire, and be certain of your target and what lies beyond it.
- Verify current federal, state, and local laws governing ammunition purchase, possession, and transport in your jurisdiction before ordering.
- This product contains lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and reproductive harm. Handle spent cases with care and wash hands after range sessions. For more information, visit www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
