The Buffalo Bore 45 Super 200 grain jacketed hollow point delivers 1200 fps and 639 ft-lbs of muzzle energy—roughly 30% more kinetic force than standard 45 ACP pressure loads. The 45 Super cartridge operates at approximately 28,000 PSI, well above the 21,000 PSI ceiling of 45 ACP, and requires a firearm rated for the additional chamber pressure. This round is built for hunting medium game at pistol ranges or as a woods-carry option where penetration and expansion are both required.
Load Profile
The 200 grain jacketed hollow point uses a six-petal expansion design optimized for controlled upset at velocities above 1100 fps. Buffalo Bore loads to maximum SAAMI specification and incorporates flash-suppressed powder to preserve low-light vision during discharge. Brass cases are Boxer-primed and reloadable; primers are non-corrosive. Each lot is proof-tested in SAAMI-reference barrels to verify pressure and velocity consistency.
