Build Notes
Aero Precision machines the PRO BCG bolt from 9310 steel, a material choice that provides superior strength and fatigue resistance compared to C158 when properly heat-treated. The flash-nitriding process applied here controls heat treatment precisely, eliminating the guesswork that can compromise bolt life. The cam pin channel is counter-bored rather than swaged — material is cut to dimension from the start, not displaced under pressure. This reduces manufacturing stress and contributes to longer service intervals. The carrier itself is machined from 8620 steel with an M16 cut, providing full-auto-rated mass for reliable bolt unlocking.
