Firearms Training — NRA-Certified Courses for All Skill Levels
Owning a firearm is a responsibility. Tatted Tacticals offers NRA-certified firearms training led by instructors who’ve carried professionally — not just in a classroom, but in the field. Whether you’re handling a firearm for the first time or looking to sharpen your defensive skills, we have a course built for where you’re at.
Course Offerings
Basic Firearm Safety
Designed for first-time gun owners. Covers the four fundamental rules of firearm safety, safe handling, proper storage (including with children in the home), and an introduction to different firearm types. No prior experience required.
Pistol Fundamentals
A hands-on course covering grip, stance, sight alignment, trigger control, and live-fire drills. Built for new pistol owners who’ve cleared the basic safety course and are ready to develop real shooting fundamentals.
Defensive Carry
For concealed carry permit holders and those preparing for one. Covers drawing from a holster, presentation, close-range defensive shooting techniques, legal considerations for use of force, and situational awareness. This course meets CCW training requirements in most states.
Home Defense Tactics
Covers the specifics of using a firearm in a home defense scenario — room clearing fundamentals, identifying threats vs. non-threats, safe storage that still allows rapid access, and what to do after a defensive incident.
Why Train with Tatted Tacticals
Our lead instructor is founder Jake Terry, a U.S. Army veteran with nearly two decades of tactical experience. Every course is small-group and hands-on. You won’t spend four hours watching a video — you’ll be on your feet, handling your gear, and leaving with actual skills you can put to use.
